google earth view does not work on firefox

When looking up places using Google maps the Earth / Satellite view is distorted since a few days. The maps are fine, but the photographs look like LEGO in a crash. And now that I contact you and want to include a screenshot even the LEGO disappears. It is all black now. I have no problems viewing the Earth view using Safari.

I use an iMac late 2009 with Mac OS El Capitan 10.11.5 and the latest version of Firefox. What is wrong?

Hey got an idea for you, have you tried downloading Google Earth ? you won't need to go through firefox to use it then.

Hope this helps.
