Nightly installed a new update, see above, then reopened with a notification that the home page had crashed and I could restore or close the page. Restore and reload didn't function and closing page closed Nightly. Reopening Nightly resulted in the same issue. I navigated to a web page successfully using search then clicked on the Home icon which opened the Nightly home page. Nightly is now functioning normally, except I haven't closed and reopened the browser. Will try that and see what happens but I expect it to crash again.

Chosen solution

Update to above question/statement. Closed and restarted Nightly and it opened normally this time with no problem. Maybe problem self-repaired.
