I've tried numerous times over the last few weeks to keep my default search engine on Google... Without fail, Firefox changes it back to Yahoo! I've even tried downloading the default google app from Mozilla, to no avail! I'm done with it!!! Sick of Yahoo and now sick of Firefox!

If you decide you want to try Firefox again, feel free to ask for assistance with this problem.

Firefox is designed to allow you to choose your preferred default and keep it permanently. Some common reasons the setting does not stick are:

(1) Overly aggressive "cleaning" programs that remove Firefox settings files when you exit Firefox or at Windows startup

(2) Browser add-ons injected into Firefox as part of a free software bundle (often without disclosing to you their true nature)

(3) External malware
