I have a fair number of bookmarks and can easily forget what folder I have put one. I go to the 'Library' and do a search. It will find the bookmark but not tell me where it actually is. When you use the Library to search for something and it finds it, but doesn't tell you where it is, that's a little strange isn't it?
Does anyone know the program designer? Did he seem to be 'a bit odd?'
I have been looking for a couple of years for a way to make the Library search tell me where a bookmark is, but there doesn't seem to be any. Have I missed something?

That is a shortcoming with the Places system of bookmarks & history. Try this extension. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/show-parent-folder/
