I have lots of tabs open. I decide to close some of them. No problem doing that. I exit Fire fox. I turn off my computer.

Next morning , I turn on the computer, turn on Firefox, the 'deleted' tabs have returned. I sometimes have to close tabs 4 or 5 times before they quit re-appearing.

What's the deal?

You may have corrupt sessionstore file(s). Delete all sessionstore* files and the sessionstore-backups folder.

Type about:support in the address bar and press enter.

Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder. To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.

Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
