How do I TURN OFF all of the clutter and distractions, i.e. the "NOT SO AWESOME BAR?”

more options

Thanks for the info but I want to TURN OFF ALL OF THE CLUTTER to get rid of ALL OF THE DISTRACTIONS so as to be productive once again. Because the designers think that something is cool doesn’t mean it should be FORCED into my system. All some of us want is a Plain, Simple, Browser. Firefox has become a frustration because of the non-stop daily updates and trying to figure out how to TURN OFF all the “cool new STUFF” FORCED in via update. So, once again, How do I TURN OFF/REMOVE the "NOT SO Awesome Bar" and TURN OFF/REMOVE the history drop down menu on the back button? Again, all some of us want and need is a Plain, Simple, Browser.

emmettcster,

There is a feature in your browser that let's you turn it off. If you go to the three bar menu at the top right corner you can follow these [about:preferences#privacy] and under "Location Bar" you can uncheck all of the suggestions here.

Restart Firefox and you should be set to go.

Thanks for the input but unchecking the three "Location Bar" boxes in the preference section was the first thing I tried with negative results.
