Why is my password rejected when I try, without success to send emails?
Despite going into Security, Passwords, deleting them, closing down Thunderbird, reopening it, putting back my passwords when asked, I cannot send emails because the password is rejected. I can receive emails.

the password failed error message is really connection failed. So there are multiple possibilities.

Matt: OP posted response as a new question.
I am very confused and do not understand this system of sending you messages. I do not know whether you received all the data I sent. But I am very fed up not being able to send emails. I cannot send them under safe mode. My anti-virus is free Avira, the latest. I pasted the trouble-shooting information but do not know whether you received it. I will try and send it as an attachment to this, by using 'Choose File). Incidentally my Sent Box has disappeared and this is really a huge problem for me. For although I cannot send any now there are emails I have sent which I would like to access. Do you think the problem can be solved? Just tried to send a folder to you through Choose File but it did not work.
Just paste into the box where you type your reply in this forum, using right-click or ctrl+v. It's just text, on your clipboard.

What on earth did you do to make such a mess? Did you click on "copy text to clipboard"? Or did you try to select the text with your mouse?
It ought to look more like this:

It is very difficult to assist with legacy mail accounts provided by companies that have gone into the void. I am left guessing.
Hovever I suggest you try the following settings.
Server Address: mail.madasafish.com Port: 110 Use SSL: OFF SMTP Username: same as your User name above. SMTP Password: same as the Password you used above. SMTP Server Address: mail.madasafish.com SMTP Port: 25 SMTP Encryption: Off
Right click the account in Thunderbird folder pane, select settings and update the server settings, including the sever name
Then scroll down to the outgoing server ((SMTP) and undate the outgoing mail settings as well.
