I sometimes use my computer without a keyboard and would like to be able to delete emails without having to right click and scroll through the options.

Chosen solution

You can put a delete button on the toolbar. Right click on the toolbar (you may have to try in several different places) and when the right pop-up menu appears, select "Customize". A new window shows with available extra buttons. Drag and drop the delete button onto your toolbar.

While you're there you can remove any buttons you don't want, rearrange the ones you do use, and change settings for icon size and text labels.

Note that each toolbar has its own customization pane, so if you right-click the main toolbar, you can only add to and remove from that toolbar. If you want to tweak the smaller toolbar inside the message pane, you need to right-click it to get access to its own particular toolbar. Ditto for these:

  • the calendar tab
  • the full message window
  • the composition window
  • the address book window
