Hello everybody,

When I recieve messages with an attachment (often PDF-file), I can't open the attachments. I get an error-messages that the attachment is damaged.

What is the reason for that + what is the best place fore storing attachments on the pc (in the directories from Thunderbird) ?

Maybe you have an anti-virus product scanning all incoming mail. Suggest you access the anti-virus product and stop scanning incoming mail.

You could test: Start computer in 'Safe mode with Networking' Start Thunderbird.
