When I try to use the search box to connect to thesaurus.com it doesn't work because it uses an out-of-date URL: thesaurus.reference.com. I can't edit the URL, and the Mozilla website's app for finding more search engines has only the out-of-date URL

I have 53.0.2, set for automatic updates, and am using Windows 10.

First, open the Search Manager; Type about:preferences#search<enter> in the address bar.

Locate and remove that search engine. After, go to the website. Once the page is loaded, click on the search box icon. You should be able to add that site from there.

Do you see an "Add a keyword for this search" if you right-click the search baron the thesaurus.com web page?
