When I type gmail emails, on facebook, and in this message box, the typing is so delayed that I have to retype every other word. It's impossible to work this way. It seems to mostly be the space bar, but it's hard to tell. I have no problems when typing in Word. Please help!

Hi   !
Lets give this a try :

3-bar menu => Options => Advanced => General tab Under 'Browsing' Uncheck :   'Use hardware acceleration when available'.

Any difference   ?

I found that as a solution in another forum. I did it, but mine was already unchecked. Thanks anyway!

Don't know if you have any add-ons installed   -   if you do ,   one of them could be the culprit.
Let's try Firefox in Safe Mode : If Firefox is not running : Hold down the Shift key when starting Firefox. If Firefox is running : 3-bar menu => ' ? ' (at the bottom of the dropdown) => 'Restart with Add-ons disabled'. Then OK the restart. A small dialog should appear. Click 'Start in Safe Mode' ( not 'Refresh'   !)
