How to reset Thunderbird password in 'att.outbound.net'

My Web access is provided by AT&T.....so my Thunderbird email - inbound is 'att.inbound.net' and my outbound is 'att.outbound.net' I am receiving ok but the system is asking for my password on the outbound side.......I don't know what it is nor how to set a new one????

Your password for outgoing mail is the same as the one for incoming. Open Tools/Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords, Show Passwords, and look at the entry for inbound.att.net (typo in first post) and right-click, Copy Password. If outbound.att.net is in the list, right-click, Edit Password, and paste the inbound password. If outbound.att.net is not in the list, you will be prompted for the password next time you try to send.
