I sent pictures to my email and save them into my computer. When I go back to open them in my "picture" file, it does not allow me to do so. So any picture that I send to my email, I can not open when saved to my computer. Please Help! thank you

What does "it does not allow me to do so" mean? What happens instead?

What OS? What version of Thunderbird? What exactly is your "picture file"?
