Strange Middle Mouse Click Behaviour

Ditched Chrome for Quantam but find myself relearning middle mouse interatction. Its strange because I have the same browser and OS on another computer and it doesn't happen as much / if at all.

Here's are the problems: 1) Middle mouse click on link to open in a new tab always opens 2 of the link in new tabs as opposed to the 1. 2) Middle mouse click to close tab closes the tab and then opens a new one

What could be going wrong? Its almost as if its clicking twice?

Firefox: 57.0 OS: Linux Deepin 15.5 (based on Debian 8)

If no issues then Extensions which need to be added back in 1 at a time and tested ..... Or it is your Profile : Make a new one and test ...: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles

Use the Profilemanager to create a new Profile as the so called Refresh method is a awkward way to go about creating a new Profile while only keeping some of your settings.

bfalcon, try another mouse to rule it out?

Maybe check your mouse settings.
