The today pane shows the incorrect date details. Today it shows Thursday 23 March 2018. Today is Friday 23 March 2018. When I open the calendar it shows today is Thursday 22 March 2018 and the date in the panel at the bottom right hand corner shows 22 and not 23.

Chosen solution

right click the date in the bottom right of your windows desktop and select adjust.

Set your locale and time zone correctly. Most folk with an issue failed to correctly set these values when their PC was first delivered.

In Thunderbird select options > Calendar > general and ensure your city/ Timezone details are set correctly. Pick a city in your timezone, not necessarily the closest city.

Thank you for that. The problem was the Thunderbird settings.

G' day Oldqobbo. Go to the 3 lines at the top right hand side of Thunderbird - select Options - then select Options again - then select Calendar from the icons at the top of the page. Select you prefered options. I hop this helps.

@Bnaathan001: Hello to you, and thanks for this. I wonder if it might be me, or rather my pc - I just checked that my pc's date (bottom right of desktop, along with time, in W7) was also a day behind and have corrected it - can't think how that happened. Anyway.

Alas, options, whether on the Tools menu or from the Thunderbird menu at the right-hand side (the three line icon for the menu) both show up the same set of options: and, on the Calendar tab of that, I cannot see a way to change the date shown at bottom tight of the display, beside the words Today Pane.

- Odd though, because the e-mail listing now shows yesterday's with the correct date now, and today's just with times, just like it should - whereas before today's were shown with date as well and yesterday's just with times. Maybe a re-start will sort it out.

Many thanks again, and all the best, og
