Thunderbird settings deleted, can't find sent mail, and generally not functional after new update
Running Thunderbird 52.7.0 and after a computer crash (I'm on a MAC) the email settings had changed. The reply, reply all, forward, delete buttons were gone, and no longer could easily see the sender of an email, the other recipients, and subject line.
The worst part is that when I go to my sent folder, none of my sent emails are there. Only email from other people. Then trying to go back into my inbox it shows that there's no email at all, even though I've gotten alerts that new email has come through.
Strange also that the column on the left with the names of the inboxes with drafts, sent, junk, etc, appears to be a pale blue which I've never noticed before.
In the meantime, going from mailbox to mailbox seems to freeze everything, so I'm forced to restart Thunderbird.
In the screenshot where it says 'Hi there,' would normally have reply, reply all, forward, delete, as well as the sender, recipients, subject line.
Help!

re : my inbox it shows that there's no email at all,
Try this: click on the icon which selects column headers and select 'Reset columns to default' which is located near the bottom of list.
UPDATE: suggest you try that on each folder to get a new set of accurate settind which were probbaly lost in he crash.

Modified
There was an issue with some outdated add-ons, which once deleted solved the problem.
