Just this evening Firefox started showing me purple screen with the title "Private Browsing with Tracking Protection" when I open a new tab, instead of the recommended sites I most frequently visit. How can I get Firefox to stop doing this?

Win7x64 Firefox v. 59.0.3

Thanks....

Oddly enough, it stopped doing it after I rebooted my machine this morning. Thanks for the tip, though!

Hi, good question. Let's see if a setting is changed. Copy/Paste about:preferences#privacy to the Address Bar and then Enter History heading remove the check mark from Always Use Private Browsing.

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.
