browser won't work when nordvpn is active

I've downloaded Nordvpn and can't connect to any sites when it's active. Went on google search & followed proxy settings, etc but still no luck . When I go into options what should my network proxy setting be?

Hi davidecrowder, what happens when you try to connect? Does Firefox time out trying to access anything?

Proxy settings are here:

  • Windows: "3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options
  • Mac: "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox menu) > Preferences
  • Linux: "3-bar" menu button (or Edit menu) > Preferences
  • Any system: type or paste about:preferences into the address bar and press Enter/Return to load it

In the search box at the top of the page, type proxy and Firefox should filter to the "Settings" button, which you can click.

  • The default is "Use system proxy settings" which should piggyback on your Windows/IE "LAN" setting
  • "Auto-detect" can lead to a flaky connection, so I don't usually recommend that, but you could try it
  • What if you select "No proxy" -- which should just go straight to the Windows network stack?
