I have done the following to attempt to fix this:

Rebooted computer Uninstall/reinstall Firefox Uninstall/Reinstall Kaspersky Restore bookmarks (Says cannot update file) Uninstalled/reinstalled Adobe Flash Player Disc Cleanup Updated Windows Ran Malwarebytes/Kaspersky/Windows Defender Killed Firefox through Task Manager Created new places database Downgraded Firefox Deleted all extensions and add-ons, removed theme

Nothing I have done after searching has worked. I NEED these bookmarks in order to run my business. Please help me!

You probably already did everything that's mentioned here :

When I read your question, I immediately thought : " The OP should get rid of Kaspersky ..... "

Would you please disable your Kaspersky software and see if that will make a difference  ?

I have deleted Kaspersky, tried a number of the things listed above, still same issue.

I just disabled it, and reinstalled Firefox, and still the same issue.

This is extremely frustrating.

Nope, nope and nope.

I had the bookmarks after deleting firefox, running ccleaner and reinstalling. The minute I closed FF, I lost all bookmarks.

So where are you now on this ?

This owned by the same people that deleted your Bookmarks, ccleaner. https://www.ccleaner.com/recuva

Did you try to remove all places.sqlite files including places.sqlite-shm and places.sqlite-wal with Firefox closed?

You can create a new profile to test if your current profile is causing the problem.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.

Don't copy places.sqlite, but restore a compressed .jsonlz4 backup from the bookmarkbackups folder.

Yes, I tried the new profile, and that did not work either.

I still have no bookmarks.

Well I finally went digging through Chome and all of my bookmarks and log-in info is in there. Guess I'll stick with it for now.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen or hold down the Shift key) to see if that has effect.
