After automatic update of Thunderbird Beta on my desktop, I cannot download any new mail messages. Server times out. I can send messages, but not receive. Receiving works fine on my laptop. I rebooted desktop with no improvement. So I reloaded Thunderbird 60.4.0 (32-bit). Still does not download any mail. Am using Windows 10 Pro for workstations with automatic updates.

I reset thunderbird exception in Norton Security. No affect. I can send email but not receive. The settings are identical on my laptop where I can send and receive. This happened after an automatic update. No message since that time has been downloaded. I am using POP. When I request to connect to server it says connecting and then the green bar on lower lower right hovers near full for a long time. Nothing happens.
