The latest update of Firefox has removed the default Windows control bar (even though it's supposed to be enabled), and draws the tab bar on the same line as the address bar. I've reset FF back to the defaults and recreated the xulstore.json file, but no luck.

It wouldn't upload my screen grabs. Here they are. The second image is after I opened a new tab in the same window.

What do you mean "Control bar" if that isn't a Browser default and a addon that isn't update to work with the latest firefox then it will be disabled.

Try to set this pref to false on the about:config page.

  • browser.tabs.drawInTitlebar = false

You can open the about:config page via the location/address bar. You can accept the warning and click "I accept the risk!" to continue.

Are you possibly using a userChrome.css file to customize Firefox?
