After I installed firefox-60.7.2-1.el6_10.x86_64.rpm on RHEL 6.9 and opened the About Firefox dialog, there wasn't a close button to close the dialog.

You can probably use Ctrl+W to close this window.

Can you attach a screenshot?

Attached is the screen shot. Ctrl+W did not work. I had to kill the process to close the dialog. Also the top close button is not there for the browser as well, although closing the tabs close the browser

Does Alt+Space to open the system menu also not work ?

No. Ctrl+Q does close all the windows.
