Hello

Newbie here,

Windows 10 x64 build 1903 - Firefox 68.0.1 (64-bit)

I know when the 32-bit Firefox version is installed on 64-bit Windows, the default folder path is C:\Program Files (x86)\Mozilla Firefox\

But I want to find all the locations or paths where I can find all the Firefox files, to backup or move to another Machine.

Also I would like to know what kind of data Firefox stores in each location

Thank you very much in advance

Camelia

Chosen solution

Firefox uses two locations for the Firefox profile folder.

Location used for the main profile that keeps your personal data (Root Directory on about:preferences).

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Location used for the disk cache and other temporary files (Local Directory on about:preferences).

  • C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\

Download and use the installer from Mozilla.org

From there, you have several options to share user data. 1) Use sync to share the data. 2) Copy the user files from one to the other.

Thank you very much

They are still more locations where I can find Mozilla in my Windows

For example

C:\Users\<user>\AppData\LocalLow\Mozilla

That I do not know what does it store, and many others that I have see in my Windows...

Is there a list of all the locations that Mozilla creates, installing Firefox to the default folder path C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\ ?

Kind Regards Camelia
