While browsing in firefox on a windows 10 laptop, am unable to scroll an inactive firefox window using the touchpad 2 finger scroll gesture. This does not work in firefox, it works in other applications and browsers. If this is intentional, a toggle would be nice to allow it.

Can you confirm that you have this setting on?

Windows 10 behaves differently. Now, there is a new option that lets you scroll inactive windows too, and it’s enabled by default. You can find it in Settings, Devices, Mouse & Trackpad. It’s called “Scroll inactive windows when I hover over them.”

This setting is enabled, but the layout is slightly different on win10 1903. The mouse and trackpad settings are in separate menu items. This setting is only present on the mouse menu, and it is enabled.

The issue is only with firefox, and only with the trackpad.

Chrome, Discord, File Explorer, for example, all scroll properly when inactive using the 2 finger trackpad gesture.

Firefox scrolls when inactive when using a mouse wheel.
