Hello, I've noticed Thunderbird lags a bit when receiving incoming emails. The notification message on the right hand side of the screen pops up but it's blank. Clicking on the icon to bring the program to the front lags considerably for 3-4 seconds.

Running Thunderbird 72.0b1 ( 64bit ). Windows 10 Home. Only Windows Defender running, no other Anti-virus programs installed.

Does it make any difference if you add the TB profile folder as an Exclusion in Defender?

The location, hidden by default, is:

C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\8characters.default

Since you're using the beta, you may have several profiles, listed in Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles.

I haven't noticed any lags with 72b1 32b/W10.
