email won't connect to pop.3rivers.net server after update
Thunderbird updated last night and I now "time out" connecting to pop.3rivers.net to retrieve my email. I was able to change a setting to be able to send email.

I will need to contact my provider 3 Rivers Communications as to the settings for the incoming pop.3rivers.net server for Thunderbird. This time of year..... ;) Thx for the suggestions...... Judy
My best guess for the 3rivers settings is:
pop.3rivers.net on port 110, connection security = none, authentication = password, transmitted insecurely, User Name = email address.
smtp.3rivers.net on port 25 (587?), connection security = none, authentication = no authentication.

Timeouts are often caused by antivirus programs that become incompatible when TB updates. Add the TB profile folder as an exception or exclusion to your AV program (Help/Troubleshooting, about:profiles to see the profile location).
"Got it" Had to contact 3 rivers as everything else was "fine". Had to do a restart on Windows 10 - GEEZ! Thx! Judy :)
