Emails are no longer highlighted with tags colors.
After the Thunderbird update (now ver. 68.3.1) emails are no longer highlighted with tags colors. But when a letter is selected, tags are appearing at the bar with their colors.

I have the same problem, tagged messages didn't have tag colors unless they were selected. When I restarted in Safe mode everything worked correctly. I tracked the problem to the Reminderfox addon that I had installed. I disabled this plugin and now everything seems to be working correctly.

The text in the Threads Pane shows the tag color here in TB 68.3.1, when the message is not selected. Does running in safe mode make any difference? Hold Shift when you launch TB. The color of the text should be white when the tagged message is selected, but yours is very faint.
I have a userChrome file that colors the tagged message like what you see when it's selected, but when it's not selected. But I tested your issue in safe mode, which bypasses css files.

I did as CyberMuz described - disabled Reminderfox - and everything workы as it should. Thank you!
Hi, I have the same problem, and indeed, it does disappear if I disable Reminderfox. But I need Reminderfox, so is there an alternative solution?
ReminderFox appears to be no longer under development for TB 68. There is a similar add-on, mailmindr, with a beta version for TB 68, but reports indicate it also affects tagged messages. Since it appears to be under development, there's a chance this bug will be fixed.
Thanks for pointing out mailmindr to me. Once they have a stable solution for the current TB, I will download it :)
Hello! I had this problem after installing the Torpedo add-in. After deactivating Torpedo, the highlighting worked fine. But I'd like to keep Torpedo - very useful in those little unattentive moments before the first coffee where you might one day click on the wrong link.
I suggest you submit the highlighting problem on the Torpedo site: https://github.com/SecUSo/torpedo/issues
