Tunnderbird IMAP account created does not sync / does not show Sent Folder (rough solution)

more options

Ubuntu 16.04 LTS Thunderbird 60.9.0 (64-bit)

While configuring accounts (under IMAP) newly, somehow, "Sent" is not been listed. Had checked the "Account Settings" - "Copies & Folders" - "Place a copy in" "Sent Folder...".

Configured another email-id with several additional folders like inbox-old sent-old Drafts Draft etc. Again none other than "INBOX" appeared under Thunderbird.

Finally, without any remedy, I just removed the file "Sent.msf" and alike under the Thunderbird Data Directory. Once removed, all sub-folders of all accounts appeared and started synchronizing immediately.

This may require attention of values set automatically under "Configuration" or "Settings".

does not sound like it actually works at all. I would be expecting some sort of connection failure to be honest.

But, it is so.

I was trying several other choices for long. Nothing worked out and it was downloading INBOX all the time. So, it is not connection failure. I had removed the Email Accounts and re-configured two times prior. Every time it just downloaded INBOX (which has around 7,500 messages) in each account.

Now the downloading of all other folders (mainly Sent followed by few yearly folders, few inbox-old, old1, etc) of all my three accounts are going on.
