On your laptop?

Do you have AppMenu/View/Message Body As set to Original HTML, and "Allow content to choose its own colors" checked in

AppMenu/Options/Options/Display/Formatting/Colors?

Other options are Change background color of messages



For Mac:/ Set up a default for all new messages you write: MAC: 'Thunderbird' > 'Preferences' > 'Composition' > 'General' tab uncheck 'Use Reader's default colours' Then select the Text colour and background colour by clicking on the square colour icons and choosing a colour. click on OK



This is for Win to a same use as above- Tools/Options/Composition/General/HTML. Press Alt if the Menu Bar with Tools is hidden.-
