When I try to update my firefox installation on ubuntu, if just downloads a .bz2 file, but there is no application to open it with. How do I open it ? Do I use the archiver in ubuntu ? Is there any particular script in the archive that I should run for update rather than for fresh install ?

The following command will update the already installed Firefox using the default Ubuntu repository. If the Firefox is not installed yet it will be installed:

$ sudo apt install firefox
