What might be the reason for Firefox crashing (becomes nonresponsive) when on Facebook? I am using 77.0.1 (64-bit). Same issues on Ubuntu and Win10. Happens pretty much every time. Only restarting the browser helps. Seems similar [[to this|https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/1153630?page=2]].

Any suggestions?

Hello Robert,

The same problem is done with me also ,I just want to let you know that Kaspersky resolved my issue. All I had to do was disable the Anti-Banner in my security settings.

I hope you also get your solution from my that.

Thank you.

@Himanshu, nope. I have nothing to do with Kaspersky :) Also, everything related to dowloading anything (images, files, etc) is broken in Ubuntu (just does not work). Tried to reinstall, nothing works. Went to using Chrome.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.

The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.

Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

This crash report is empty in my case.

The browser just becomes inactive, nonesponsive, does not load anything (similary losing connection), without any warnings nor anything. I can close it and open again and everything works (until it happens again). So it does not crash-crash but just "crash" (in the lack of a better term).

And dowloading (saving images, dowloading files) does not work in Ubuntu. Managed to install Chrome through command line :)

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.
