Is there an extended release (ESR) version of Thunderbird?

more options

In bug reports I see reference to thunderbird_esr78 which I take to mean extended release version (or am I mistaken?).

Where do I find and download the extended release version?

Like in Bug 1590473 it says the bug is fixed in thunderbird_esr78 .

OK, I went digging the second time around and found that this has been covered two years ago:

So the "extended support release" is the same as the most recent stable release.
