Until recently, Thunderbird Inbox showed the bottom of the list of emails, with the new emails at the bottom. Now, it shows the top of the list, with the cursor at the oldest message. I do I change back to showing the latest messages?

click the date column heading to reverse the sort order on that column. Note clicking any heading changes the sort onto that column in ascending order, clicking again reverses it.
