Greetings. I currently have a CompuServe Account which uses the AOL imap/smtp servers. It seems that they changed the way they do the passwords and that the y use a password generator. I recently needed to reinstall Windows 10 and I installed thunderbird again and used teh old files for Thunderbird and it all seemed to work except the outgoing server. I could receive but not send emails. I figured it had something to do with the password. I deleted the cs account and tried to add the new mail account. There is a repeated error that the "incoming Server Already Exists" It is not clear where this server setting is. I have all the old emails in a separate file as I saved the site on a different drive. I just need to get the email working again.

Any thoughts? Thank you. Sal

Open Tools/Account Settings, select each account in the left pane and give it a distinct Account Name in the right pane, such as CSPersonal - not the default, which is the email address. Then restart TB and see if you still get the error.
