See how in history, all the stuff I search just shows up as Google URLS and google icons. I cant find the website that I visited without opening them all up one by one to see what they are.

Is This just a google search problem? What is this feature called?

OR is there a way to make firefox display the actual URLS?

Im on Android 11, galaxy s20, firefox app.

Sorry, there is an issue on file for this, but the Firefox for Android folks need some work to be done on the underlying GeckoView platform before this can be fixed in Firefox for Android.

Maybe it's a coincidence, but when I search while using the Google Search Fixer extension -- which I installed to get better Google Images results -- the history shows the correct URLs. You can install it from the bottom of the list here:

Update, I tested other search engines, its the same issue, not just Google specific. Firefox is not saving the full website URL in the history section.

Ah, okay I see.

Well that add on you suggested works perfectly. It solves the history link issue, and it solves my 2nd biggest complaint, google images. I could never right click (hold down) on a picture and save it before when using google images on firefox mobile. Now I can. Thanks.

Just an update, it actually has not worked. It did occasionally from some google searches when I first installed it, but I still find that 90% o f my history is google links. Even when I click "View desktop mode" on the given website page, and refresh it, it still saves itself in the history as a google link even the url Im on is not a Google url at that point

See attached.
