Hello, I have a problem with the display of messages in the local folder part. My configuration is as follows: I have an ArchivesMails folder on a linux server (Debian) with a share via Samba. This folder is shared between several computers, including windows 7 with TB 78.11.0 and ubuntu 20.04 with TB 78.11.0.

On each computer I pointed the “local folder” of TB to my share. No worries so far. The directories go up well on the posts.

But that’s where the problem comes in: when I create a folder from a windows and I move emails in it, I can see them from linux, but I can’t read what’s in it, the pointer loops in and nothing shows up. And it’s the same problem in reverse, a folder created from liunx is visible from windows, but emails are not viewable.

When I look in my share, during a creation, I have the files . msf , . sbd and the folders/subfolders that are created. The only difference I find is in the writing of the files. msf that do not have quite the same architectures according to where they are created from (windows or linux)

Am I missing a step where cohabitation is not possible?

In fact, I am answering my own question:

I forgot to correctly specify the permissions on the folder in the samba service configuration!

This is what happens when you want to go too fast:-(
