I have just bought a new laptop, downloaded Firefox, signed in, and now for some reason in my bookmarks menu I have two sub menu's of "Manage Bookmarks" One of them is in the normal location, the other one is at the bottom of my bookmarks menu.

Please help. Thank you.

Sync is known to create another subfolder with the same name as one that is already there.

Is one folder empty? Then remove it.

I wish it was that easy, but this is Mozilla. The second folder seems to be a duplicate of the first and there is no apparent way to remove a default menu item.

Note that this is how it works. In the Bookmarks Menu toolbar button drop-down list you have Manage Bookmarks at the top and at the bottom for some reason. You can use code in userChrome.css to hide either of them.
