It is Mac OS 10.11? The last version of Firefox for your OS is the extended support release of Firefox 78. The last update was a few months ago, and this version is no longer supported. It is not ideal to run old, unsupported versions of Firefox on a fast-changing web but I think it should still be possible. Of course, as a Windows person, I don't know what Mac OS actually allows you to do...

More info: Firefox Mac OS X 10.9, 10.10 and 10.11 users move to Extended Support Release

Last release in the 78 ESR series: http://archive.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/78.15.0esr/mac/en-US/ (to use a different locale other than U.S. English, click the .. link above the file names and then click into the desired folder)
