How to restore Local Files folders after move profile folder
I need help with Win10 Mail Local Folder configuration directory move.
I attempted to move my local folders to a another drive. I copied the entire directory and, the local files location and restarted thunderbird. I believe the original directory was %appdata%/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxx.default
The Local Files folder in the navigation pane, shows trash, outbox and the thunderbird internal directory and files. The original folders/directories that were in the Local Files folder are missing.
I tried to move back to moved Local Folders back to %appdata%/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxx.default, however it says the directory is "is not suitable for message storage". I can configure Local Folders to the %appdata%/Local/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxx.defaultdirectory, and I have the same issue as the moved directory, shows trash, outbox and the thunderbird internal directory and files.
I can see the the files and mailbox files in %appdata%/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/xxxx.default/Mail/Local Folders directory.
I don't know how to get back to the original configuration. How can I return to the configuration or get the files and mailboxes back into Local Files folder in the new Local Files directory location ??

If you used File Explorer to move local folders out, you can move them back the same way. The important issue is that the files and folders match names, one for one. However, from what you posted, I cannot be sure of exactly what you did. I hope this helps.
