Every time Firefox updates I have to Re-authenticate every one of my secure websites and the website asked if I want to register this computer. It wouldn't be bad if it wasn't 3 or 4 times per week. Websites that I have to sign in to such as banking, credit cards etc. The last time I asked this question I was sent an email with a link to Thunderbird support. I need browser support.

Hi DavidWebb1, My bank used to collect the MAC address to "register" my device. Obviously, with all of the devices that people use nowadays, that method became burdensome. Now, the bank sends a Verification Code via email, which creates a "verification" cookie. So, the key is to make certain that you are saving all of your relevant login cookies.

Firefox migrated the "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" checkbox to the "Clear history when Firefox closes" settings, which now honors the exceptions list. When using "Clear history when Firefox closes", please make sure NOT to check "Site Settings" because that includes your cookie permissions and you'll need to add the exceptions again.

Menu -> Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Exceptions enter the url of a website and select Allow Check the box next to - "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed"

In the History section farther down the page, set the "Firefox will..." dropdown to "Use custom settings for history" Check the box next to - "Clear History when Firefox closes" In the Clear History Settings be sure "Site Settings" is not checked. (This will delete the Cookies and Exceptions) Also, be sure "Offline website data" is checked. (This will delete all other cookies and checks the box next to "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" anyway) All cookies will be deleted when Firefox is closed EXCEPT the ones Allowed in the Manage Exceptions list.

Also, there have been some login issues related to Enhanced Tracking Protection in Standard level -

You can easily create an Exception to ETP for a site. While visiting the site, click on the Shield icon at the left end of the address bar and toggle the switch to Off.
