YouTube
I am almost about to stop using Firefox. Why is it so hard to gain access to YouTube? Never have a problem with Microsoft Edge. If a fix cannot be made without jumping through a lot of hoops and steps, I will have to stop using Firefox. Fix this mess. This problem has been around now for some time. Get it fix or accept other users switching to other browsers that seem to have no problem at all getting to and using YouTube. Very Frustrating.

I have 3 different Firefox profiles and no problems with Youtube. What's different about yours?
Menu -> Help -> Troubleshoot Mode... Firefox will restart and a Troubleshoot Mode options window will appear. Do NOT select Refresh.
With Firefox closed, first make sure Firefox is not running in the background, then, hold down the Shift key while launching Firefox. (If the Profile Manager opens, select a profile and then hold down the Shift key again while clicking the "Start Firefox" button.)

You could try a new "test" Profile - In Firefox Enter about:profiles in the address bar and press Enter You will see at least one Profile named default-release (or default) and This is the Profile in use and it cannot be deleted. Near the top left, select the button Create a New Profile Go through the Profile Wizard and a new Profile will be created.
Under the Profile In Use be sure to select Set As Default Profile again. This will ensure that your Default User Profile will launch the next time.
Under the New Profile select Launch Profile In A New Browser.
Hi Mike,
Can you check on the following bug report and see if it matches your experience? https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1782322
I do not think you understand my frustration. I can get Firefox to work on YouTube IF I follow a number of steps and processes. How frustrating is that? Very! Safe mode, delete history and cache, try a test profile, look into the registry, etc. None of it is a permanent fix. I'm tired of "try this" or "did you look into these files" or "try these steps", and so on. If it won't fix the problem permanently then it is not worth using the browser. Google: Firefox, YouTube, Trouble - you will see this is a common problem for many! I'm glad you have 3 profiles that work and never have trouble but there are many - I included - that have problems and cannot find a perm. fix. I'm done with this browser.
I understand how frustrating that must be. That's okay if you won't follow anymore of our troubleshooting steps. But I'll make sure to update you if we have a fix for this issue in the near future. Hopefully, that won't be long.
