I have tried to navigate to window using window keys, tried maximizing, and tried renaming xulstore.json (localstore.rdf does not exist). I tried reinstall - no change. I renamed the mozilla folder and reinstalled so now have a new version running correctly. I would really like to restore bookmarks and history (at least) from the old install. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ( windows 10 )

I recovered much by using information at https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data but bookmarks are not back. I'm thinking there may be another file in addition to places.sqlite that is used in newer versions of the browser.
