And because of STUPID decisions made for STUPID reasons, I can't just roll back to a stable version without throwing ALL of my bookmarks, passwords, etc out the window. Thanks Mozilla.

I would suggest you run multiple versions of Firefox and use sync to have your data in more than one browser in case something goes BOOM! You can install another version from here. https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/releases/ I still run my distro version of Firefox, but 3yrs ago I stopped using it as my daily driver. I just us it to test issues and as a backup of my synced data.
