The shop I work at use Mitchell 1 manager to email our customer estimates and now one of our 3 computers does this and we can't email from it. Mitchell says it's not on there end but thunderbird is the problem and Firefox/Mozilla offer no support system except the community.

Are you trying to send email with TB but initiated by Mitchell1? For this to happen, the sending app (M1) must be of the same bit-type as TB, e.g. if M1 is a 32-bit app, TB must also be 32-bit. TB might have been switched to 64-bit in a recent update. Check M1 and TB (Help/About TB), and if you need the 32-bit version, it can be downloaded here.

They both say 64 but. Yes I'm initiating from M1 and it's using TB.

Is this problem with TB/M1 on a Windows or Linux PC? The connection might work on Windows, but will probably not work in Linux (MAPI vs. SimpleMAPI).
