enable dictionary - every time I start TB?

more options

Hi guys, supernova is great - thank you! I'm running Supernova 115.7.0 (64-bit) on Windows 10

I lost my spellcheck dictionary recently (not sure why). I have re-downloaded and enabled and activated it, but TB doesn't remember that I have done so. Every time I start TB, I have to re-enable it if I want the spellchecker to work.

prefs.js is writable.

What should I do?

Thanks in advance...

I realised my recent folders weren't updating either, so I went to my profile folder (C://Users/AppData/Roaming/Thunderbird/Profiles/#MyProfileFolder#) and made all the files writeable (properties < uncheck "Read Only"). The changes are now persisting.

It would be great to know exactly which file was responsible, and/or if making all those files writeable will lead to other problems down the line.
