Some sites require sites requires authentican as security measures to verify the login match the registered user especially for Desktop as that can change from user to user. As to App Amazon has their own app and registered user so it's not the same here. If you turn off the computer or restart you have to sometimes re-login if your off for a period of time or you have ads blocker causing your logins to be remove whenever you close the Browser or logout. But this sounds like on your Desktop and Browser have ads blocker or blocker blocking the Browser from remembering the logins or credentials to save them and have to go and check what Addons is blocking this as well. By default my Firefox remember logins and credentials every time I go to that specific site and only the password is what I have to remember correctly to login.

Detail like websites remembering you and log you in automatically is stored in cookies, so make sure you aren't clearing important cookies.

You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you.

• create a cookie allow exception with the proper protocol (https:// or http://) to make a website remember you

You can check that you aren't clearing important cookies.

• using "Delete cookies and site data when Firefox is closed" to clear cookies keeps cookies with an allow exception
  in 102+ version toggling this setting makes changes to the "Clear history when Firefox closes" settings and those settings prevail
• using "Clear history when Firefox closes" in Firefox 102+ honors exceptions and keeps cookies with an allow exception, previous versions removed all cookies

Make sure to keep the "Site settings".

• clearing "Site settings" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exceptions for passwords and other website specific data

• Settings -> Privacy & Security
  Cookies and Site Data: "Manage Exceptions"
• Settings -> Privacy & Security
  Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history":
  [X] "Clear history when Firefox closes" -> Settings

So, as it stands: The only cookies it was deleting was under Privacy settings  Custom  Within this there were a few options from cross site tracking cookies, cryptominers, known and suspected fingerprinters etc. I have unchecked just the Cookies option here, so it won’t block any cookies. Maybe that makes a difference, lets see, or the rest of the settings seem to be correct as others have pointed out. Then I have “Tell websites not to track or share my data” ticked. Under Cookies and Site Data, The option to Delete Cookies and site data when Firefox is closed was/is not selected. Under PASSWORDS, to save, remember, suggest, email masks or breached notifications are all selected and the next 3 points from except require device to sign in etc. are unchecked. • History section is on Custom where always use Private browsing is off but remember history etc. are all selected, including clear history when closing Firefox, as you highlighted in your response. I have no exceptions in place because I am not deleting or blocking cookies. In the extensions and themes,

• You Tube Add Blocker is ON. • I don’t care about Cookies extension is also ON that gets rid of cookie warnings from other sites. • And Cookie Auto Delete extension that deletes unwanted cookies from closed tabs whilst keeps the ones you want is also ON.

These extensions remain unchanged for as long as I can remember. Its when I moved to Opera and then back to Firefox, it got messed up.

lets see if the problem persists or improves. or else, i will just get rid of Firefox after so many years of using it. :(

And for Markwarner - Thanks as well and i understand what you mean and sometimes it can log you out but doing it everyday, few times a day, on multiple sites, gets very annoying. Its like if the Face ID on iphone stops, and you turn off remember login/password, then you got to enter all the logins and passwords every time. feels like that. lol thx

The other problem is no one here can see what changes or no changes from Firefox default settings are to know what is causing the lost logins but my Firefox with standard settings and remembering login/pswd never looses the login but ask me to choose the login info to log to site even when I restart my computer.

Well, All that we tried. Failed. Opera keeps me signed in easily. its like its stolen the magic. but very gimmicky look and feel or big and bold everything. lol

firefox - its not working. surely someone offers support on the matter within the company? all those settings didnt work. problem persists! x

even to find this thread, i have to go around in circles. Not sure where to look for as it doesnt show under contributions but then later it does. crazy! lol
