How to bookmark a site link in the sub-folder?

I'm being confused by my Firefox bookmarks, and wondering whether someone has raised the similar question as me.

1. Firstly, I created a folder, and then drag & drop a site link, → sucessfully done;

2. After that, I created a sub-folder under that folder, and then drag & drop a site link, → sometimes sucessfully done; sometimes nothing added to this sub-folder. Why did this happen? How to guarantee that the link I want to add will appear in my sub-folder every time, with no exception occurs.

Please advise. Thanks a lot in advance.

Does it work if you try again or wait a bit longer to add new bookmarks to that folder? It is possible that Firefox somehow hasn't finished processing the previous steps maybe done in different threads.
