You can solve this probleme by downloading the GeoTrust DV SSL CA and add it to the SSLCertificateChainFile in your Webserver. With this config you tell the Webserver to send the GeoTrust DV SSL CA to Firefox. There is no security gab with this config since the GeoTrust DV SSL CA still needs to be validated with GeoTrust Global CA which is included in Firefox. By the way, I had the same issue with IE8.
