My Internet Explorer crashed. As I can nt get on the internet on that computer, I am attempting to use another computer to download Mozilla to a usb key. Then, I will upload Mozilla to the crashed computer, hopefully restoring connectivity.

You can download the setup file (Firefox Setup 3.6.13.exe) from http://www.mozilla.com/

You can then copy the setup file to the USB key.

Thanks, Tony, but I'm not so great at this! I can download the setup file, but I have no idea where it goes on the hard drive.

In other words, how do I find the set-up file, and then how do I copy the file to the USB key?

(I'm looking for incredibly basic step by step.)

Thanks

After the setup file has been downloaded, in the Tools menu select Downloads, this will open the downloads window. Right-click on the Firefox setup file in the list of downloaded files and choose "Open Containing Folder", you will then be taken to where the file was downloaded.

For more details on doing this see the downloads window article.
