Suddenly, a few days ago, the graphics in my Yahoo Webmail windows became severely limited. [Note: This has not occurred in IE-8.]

Examples: 1) Columns for selecting messages and setting flags disappeared. 2) Highlighting of Inbox message subjects is now absent (can't see which messages are selected). 3) Background and text colors gone.

Try clearing your browser cache.

Tools > Clear Recent History... - hit Details and make sure only Cache is selected, then select Everything and hit the Clear Now button.

Edmeister: Thanks for the fast response. Alas, that fix had no effect on my dilemma--which is islolated to FireFox, because all displays in my Yahoo and ATT webmail accts are normal--in IE8.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
